time, in the early 1970’s, a brilliantly bright group of Danish
sailing and boating enthusiasts were commissioned to assist a small,
family-owned shoe factory with a very ambitious goal: To create
the ultimate boat shoe. This were to be accomplished by combining
the factory’s experience in crafting handmade shoes (dating
back to just after World War II) with the intriguingly demanding
needs of the modern sailor/boater.
Not surprisingly,
in considering the many factors, first and foremost, was comfort.
Providing a comfortable shoe made this factory’s products popular
for decades. Furthermore, in a boat shoe, durability and a firm
grip on deck, as well as on shore, were very important, since The
North Sea and Baltic surrounding Denmark are often very rough and
challenging. Additionally, to become popular, the shoe had to be
extremely attractive with a functional design. After many months
of designing and testing, the first shoe was born—the Jaco
Marine®. Quickly gaining tremendous popularity all over the
European continent, the Jaco Marine® became the standard for
quality boat shoes.
By now, in
the early 1990’s, it was time to visualize a new design and
put the past 20 year’s experience to work by making an even
better boat shoe. DECKMOCS® was born, the ultimate in boat shoes

DECKMOCS® facts...
Have you ever
seen a product that you just had to have, the one that you just

As you imagine
what that feels like, you may also have some questions, regarding
sizes, etc. So before you order, let’s just go over a few practical
details.
Sizes fit the average foot and widths range from B to EE (Size A
width wearers can easily make the shoes and boots fit by simply
purchasing an inexpensive insert available at most department stores
or pharmacies) All DECKMOCS® are available in men’s and
ladies’ models.
Should you receive
a pair that doesn't fit properly, just send them back and we’ll
exchange them promptly.
You won’t find DECKMOCS®, or any of our other fine products
in stores outside Europe. These products are available by mail order
only, so we can provide you with top quality at very reasonable
prices. We ship directly to you from our location in California,
usually within 72 hours of receiving your order.
Look for our
distinctive port/starboard red/green color mark on the heel caps
of the shoes, and our "J" rivet logo with the sail on
the right shoe. The two marks below have characterized our unique
boat shoes worldwide since 1974, so if you don’t see these
two marks, you are not purchasing an original pair of DECKMOCS®.
